DUMPLINGS







DUMPLINGS

2 cups flour
4 t. baking powder
1/2 t. salt
2 T. shortening
2 eggs
milk, as needed

Sift together flour, baking powder and salt.

Chop in shortening.

Add the two well-beaten eggs with enough milk added to form a heavy drop batter.  

Drop dumplings in boiling chicken or other soup broth.

Cover and leave covered for 10-12 minutes.

Serve.
