EATMORE GOODIE COOKIES 1964

Kroger butter recipe from Billie Reid

1/2 cup butter
1/4 cup confectioner's sugar
1/2 t. vanilla
1 cup nuts, chopped
1 cup flour

Cream butter with sugar and vanilla until light and fluffy.

Add one-half of the nuts.

Blend in flour and remaining nuts.

Shape in small ovals on ungreased cookie sheets.  

Bake at 325 for 10-15 minutes.

When cool, roll in confectioner's sugar.

Makes 2 dozen.

  2. Yes they came on eat more margarine packages. The latter part of my recipe is gone so I had to Google it. So happy I found it

  4. Used to love these cookies in the 60's. The recipe was lost among endless others, and some sand tart recipes was not the same. Thanks so much

  6. I grew up with these as well…they were a Christmas staple in my family and I am fixing them this Christmas too! Thanks for the recipe, as ours got lost somewhere.
