BEAN SALAD

This recipe is from my cousin Phyllis (pictured above in the center of their family pic). Phyllis' Dad, Duane, was my Dad's brother.

BEAN SALAD

From Phyllis White

1 can wax beans, drained

1 can green beans, drained

1 can kidney beans, drained

1 jar pimentos

½ green pepper, chopped

1 cup carrots, chopped

1 cup celery, chopped

1 large onion,  chopped

½ cup sugar

½ cup vinegar

½ cup oil

½ tsp. garlic salt

1 tsp. salt

Pepper to taste

Bring sugar, vinegar, oil and spices to a boil.  

Pour over beans and rest of ingredients. 

Refrigerate for 24 hours.
