EVERYDAY MEATLOAF

EVERYDAY MEATLOAF

2/3 cup dry bread crumbs (I usually substitute oats for the crumbs.)
1 cup milk
1  1/2 lbs. ground beef
2 beaten eggs
1/4 cup grated onion
1 t. salt
1/8 t. pepper
1/2 t. sage

Soak bread crumbs (or oats) in milk. Add eggs, onion, seasonings, and meat. Mix well.

Form into a loaf. Cover with Piquant Sauce (below) and bake 1 hour at 350 degrees.

PIQUANT SAUCE

3 Tablespoons brown sugar
1/4 cup catsup
1 t. dry mustard
1/4 t. nutmeg

Mix these together and spread over meatloaf.
