SOUR CREAM COFFEE CAKE

SOUR CREAM COFFEE CAKE

1/4 lb. butter
1 cup sugar
2 eggs
1/2 pint (1 cup) sour cream
2 cups flour
1 t. baking powder
1 t. baking soda
1 t. vanilla 
pinch salt

Cream together  1/4 lb. butter and 1 cup sugar.  Add 2 eggs and 1/2 pint (1 cup) sour cream.

Sift together 2 cups flour, 1 t. baking powder, and 1 t. soda.  Add dry ingredients to butter mixture. Add 1 t. vanilla and a pinch of salt.

Pour half of mixture into a tube pan. Then sprinkle cinnamon, sugar, nuts and raisins.  Pour second half mixture and once again sprinkle cinnamon, sugar, nuts and raisins.  

Bake at 350 degrees for 45 minutes, or until done.  When cool, drizzle clear glaze on top.

GLAZE

1/3 cup butter
2 cups powdered sugar
1  1/2 t. vanilla
Heat.  Stir in 2-4 T. hot water to desired consistency.
