PUMPKIN PIE  1963

From Billie Reid

Mix in 3 quart bowl: 
3/4 cup brown sugar
1 T. all purpose flour
1/2 t. salt 
2  1/2 t. pumpkin pie spice*

Combine, then stir until smooth:
1  1/2 cups canned pumpkin
1  1/3 cups evaporated milk
1 slightly beaten egg

Pour mixture into 9" unbaked pastry crust.

Bake in 375 degree oven about 50 minutes or until firm.

Serve warm or cold.


*may substitute:
1 t. cinnamon
1/2 t. nutmeg
1/4 t. ginger
1/4 t. cloves
